Montecarlo.
Montacarlo stands only 5 km away from North Pinamar. Even though it still is a dunes and pine trees area, in a decade it may be as glamorous as Monaco´s Monarchy with its own port.
Tourist maps indicate the geographical location from these virgin dunes and some of them even show nonexistent roads, but rumor has it that some day it will be more exclusive than Cariló or Punta del Este.
Montecarlo is still a “project” and a mystery for its residents and Pinamar´s regular visitors.
In Pinamar´s Historical Museum, it is said that the beaches –only reached by fourtrack- belonged to the Guerrero Family, one of the most well of families in the earli 1900. But after several sells, brokes and being from hand to hand, it may be owned by only on person or may be two.
Among Montecarlo dunes an inhabitant has been living for 30 years, Jaro. The night keeper in charge of growing the pine trees that he sowed a decade ago to be kept as it was designed.
